Zlatan Ibrahimovic open to Manchester United switch… but admits there would be fights with Louis van Gaal (the man he once labelled a pompous a***!)

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has opened the door to a surprise Manchester United switch after admitting he would be happy to work under Louis van Gaal.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker has never seen eye-to-eye with the Red Devils manager after the pair fell out during a spell at Ajax earlier in their careers.

But while Ibrahimovic admits he is still not on good terms with Van Gaal, he is ready to put personal issues aside for the sake of his professional career.

‘At the end, I think he is professional and I am professional,’ Ibrahimovic told Sports Illustrated.

‘Whoever I work with, I never had this kind of problem, because at the end I need to do my job, he needs to do his job.

‘And I think a lot of fights would happen, but that’s something I like.

‘No, that’s not good [their relationship]. He was a director in Ajax, and the way he is working is not the way I work.’

Ibrahimovic has previously hit out at Van Gaal in the past, calling the Dutchman ‘a pompous a***’ in his autobiography ‘I am Zlatan.’

Van Gaal has put United supporters into a frenzy after announcing he will make a surprise signing with a striker.
