The album of the year winner got emotional after opening the Grammy Awards on Monday.

The singer, who performed her 1989 single “Out of the Woods” in a sparkly black jumpsuit with pal Jack Antonoff on guitar, was caught by Grammys audience cameras wiping away a tear shortly after the performance. Luckily, BFF and date for the evening Selena Gomez was there to comfort her.

The “Hands to Myself” singer leaned her head on Swift’s shoulder while talking with the star. Swift was seen turning around to face another attendee, and chatting after wiping away a tear.

Swift, who was up for seven awards at the Grammys, won album of the year, as well as best pop vocal album and best music video for her hit tune “Bad Blood.”

The singer used the red carpet to debut her brand new bob haircut. The chic, blunt cut kept Swift’s signature fringe in tact, but ditched some serious length.
