Saturday re-run Election for Federal and state constituencies in Kano state Nigeria has kick-started with large turnout in most of the affected 698 polling units in nine local government areas of the state.

Large abundance of voters were seen in Polling stations visited in Kumbotso, Bunkure, Bebeji and Kiru with more numbers of men than women.

At Kofa Chikin Gari polling unit in Kofa Town, Babeji local government, voters were noticed doing accreditation and casting votes simultaneously according to INEC laws.

The presiding officer and party agents  at the polling station said both sensitive and non-sensitive materials reached on time and voters have been administering themselves peacefully

All the 149 polling units in Bebeji were affected based on a Court ruling that invalidated the Bebeji/ Kiru.

Security measures were rigorously put in place across all the polling Units in the areas.
