Prominent Car Dealer Accused of ‘Eating Body Parts’ Of 9-Year-Old

A prominent car dealer in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State, Aminu Baba and four others were arraigned before a chief magistrate’s court on Tuesday for killing, decapitating and eating the parts of a 9-year-old boy identified as Ahmad Yakubu Aliyu.

The accused were brought to the court amid tight security.

The magistrate, Sa’adu Gurbin Bore, read the charges against them and they all pleaded not guilty.

The judge then adjourned the case till February 8 2022 for mentioning.

Earlier, the parents of the slain boy and other sympathisers had stormed the court, seeking for justice for their murdered son.

The mother of the boy, who identified herself as Jamila Abdurrahman Hafiz said that they were at the court to ensure that justice is swiftly served and that the blood of her innocent child was not spilled in vain.

The judge then ordered that three of the accused be remanded in Gusau Correctional Centre and the other two young ones among them be taken to a Remand home.

Baba, who is a prominent car dealer had confessed to the police that he ate and sold human parts to some unknown persons.

He was arrested early January over the killing and dismemberment of the 9-year-old boy in Gusau.

The suspect told journalists shortly after he was paraded by the state police commissioner, Mr Ayuba N Elkanah that he had three wives and 19 children.

The accused told his shocked audience that he employed two teenagers to scout for young boys to kill for him and that they had done that twice with a reward of N1million.
