Chances of clinching the ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC, by Senator Babafemi Ojudu, in the coming Ekiti State gubernatorial election slated for July 14, 2018, received a boost today as he was adopted by party Exco in Ado Local Government as their choice candidate.

At a meeting chaired by a party leader in the state, Chief Bisi Egbeyemi, all members of the Exco from eleven wards in Ado Ekti, converged to pass a vote of confidence on the journalist turned politician and promised to work together for his victory in clinching the party ticket in the primaries expected to hold between April and May this year.

There was accord among members in attendance when Mr Sunday Ibitoye, moved for the adoption of Ojudu as their candidate of choice which was overwhelmingly endorsed by all the party executive members present.

Today’s endorsement of the presidential aide on political matters, Ojudu, put to rest the jostling for the soul of Ado where the bulk of the votes in Ekiti State domiciled by gubernatorial hopefuls who have all centred their scheming around cornering the capital city to achieve electoral victory

Babafemi Ojudu, who is one of the leading lights in the governorship contest, is a native of Ado Ekiti
The endorsement meeting which held today at the Ado Local Government secretariat of the APC, also have in attendance top party executives including the Ado Local Government APC Chairman, Pa Adigun, Ademola Adetola, Otunba Olanipekun, (aka Tugeere), among others.
