Ojeikere Twin Daughters Wed In Ibadan In Style

Friday, July 22, 2022, will remain indelible as the Teachers House, Molete, Ibadan, Oyo State was jampacked when the family of Ojeikere gave out their twin daughters; Mary Omokhosen and Mercy Omokhoba to the families of Akinfolarin and Alaka in a talk-of-the-town glamorous wedding, which paraded society heavyweights.

The event, which started with the introduction of the brides’ parents; Chief and Chief Mrs Ojeikere was described by those who attended it as a classique one that cannot be forgotten in a hurry.

After the Introduction of the brides’ parents, members of the family of Mr and Mrs Alaka were ushered in and they were followed by Akinfolarin’s family members.

The first and second engagement letters were read by a brother of the twins; Emmanuel Ojeikere. After the reading of the letters, the grooms; Yinka Alaka and Seyi Akinfolarin were ushered into the venue of the event.

The brides, Mary Omokhosen and Mercy Omokhoba were later ushered in for the engagement.

The parents of the three families showered encomiums on the brides and the grooms and prayed for successful and fruitful marriages.

In an interview with Mercy, she said that “her husband is a nice and cool man.” She said further that she had no regret getting married to him and thanked both families for their support and prayed that God would bless and make their marriage fruitful.

Her husband, Yinka Pius Alaka described his wife as a very loving woman.

According to him; “I am happy that I met my life partner. I love her so much and I pray that God would bless our union.”

On his part, Oluwaseyi Joseph Akinfolarin, a music producer, business entrepreneur husband of Mary, described his wife as his mother, his life and love.

Seyi revealed that Mary loves music and that this calms her whenever she is angry and prayed that the devil will not separate them.

Mary, in her response, described her husband as a caring and spiritual man.

She said further that her husband is a man, who is always ready to listen and be there for her.

According to her; “I was happy when he proposed to me and my prayer is that our union will last forever.

The couples and their guests later left for Ijo Mimo Ibukun Orisun Iye on Olaiya Street, Lawani Layout off Oleyo Road, Odo Ona, Elewe, Orita Challenge, Ibadan, Oyo State for the holy matrimony.

The opening prayer was said by Igbakeji Baba Alakoso, Ijo Mimo Ibukun Orisun Iye, Most Snr. Apostle Tunde Fajutu.

Sermon was delivered by Baba Alakoso Ijo Mimo, Ibukun Orisun Iye, Special Apostle Ale (Jp).

Ale thanked the church for their support, and also congratulated the newly wedded couples.

He said further that marriage is ordained by God and charged them to live in unity and love as Christ loves the church.

Osi Olubadan of Ibadan Land, High Chief Edward Oyewole said in his comment; ” I am so happy that I witnessed today. I am like a grandpa to the twins (Mary and Mercy), and I pray that God would bless their unions and make them fruitful.”

Other dignitaries, friends and families members showered encomiums on the couples and wished them successful marriages.

Later, members of the Salvation Army (Omo Ogun Igbala) of the church had a memorial salute for their late Patron, who was the father of the brides, the late Senior Apostle Anthony Ojeikere and the wedding certificates were issued by Most Special Snr Apostle Ale (Jp).

Reception later took place at the hall of Lead City University, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Chairman of the occasion, Engr. Tokunbo Fadiayiro of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) said in his keynote address that the grooms and the brides should never allow third party in their marriages and prayed that God would bless their marriages.
