NDLEA Intercepts 895 Kg of Cannabis in Kano.

The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, Kano command intercepted 895 kilograms of cannabis in Kano.

The NDLEA, Kano State Commandant, Dr Ibrahim Abdul stated this while briefing newsmen, on Wednesday in Kano.

He said the huge concealment originated from Ogbese, Ondo state and billed to be distributed to Kano and Bauchi state.

“Our operatives intercepted a trailer truck at Kwanar Dan-Gora, Kiru local government area where huge concealment of suspected cannabis sativa amidst other goods was discovered,” He said.

Dr Abdul stressed the Kano command unalloyed determination blended with unflinching cooperation from the members of the general public to rid the state of the drug abuse and trafficking has amounted to this spectacular arrest and seizure.

“Three men and one female suspects were arrested in connection with the seizure” he confirmed.

Dr Abdul added that the truck driver was presently at large, and the female suspect in detention was said to be the wife of the driver on the run, who was said to be wedded to him for less than a fortnight ago.

The NDLEA Kano commandant, Dr. Ibrahim Abdul has craved the cooperation of the general public, to remain steadfast towards compliments the efforts of his command to stem the tide and get Kano rip-off drug abuse.
