NBA Raises Alarm Over Kidnapping of Female Lawyer in Kwara State

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has confirmed the abduction of Barrister Elizabeth Arinde, the Head of the Legal Department at Oke Ero Local Government Area in Kwara State.
According to the NBA, Barrister Arinde was kidnapped by unidentified gunmen, and efforts to reach her via her mobile phone have been unsuccessful. In a statement issued on Sunday, the association expressed deep concern over her disappearance and called for urgent action.
“We are deeply concerned to inform you that Barrister Elizabeth Arinde, Head of the Legal Department at Oke Ero Local Government in Kwara State, has been kidnapped,” the NBA stated.
The association emphasized that there is currently no information about her location and promised to provide updates as developments unfold. “Her contact number is no more going and there is no information about her whereabouts yet,” the statement added.
In a passionate appeal, the NBA urged the public to share the news widely and pray for her safe return. “Please share this information widely to aid in her rescue and pray for her release alive,” the association pleaded.
Meanwhile, the NBA Ilorin Branch has called on security agencies to intensify efforts toward securing Barrister Arinde’s release, citing growing insecurity concerns across the state.
