Maitama Sule University, Kano proposes to establish faculty of Clinical Science next year – Vice Chancellor.

The Vice-chancellor of Maitama Sule University in Kano, formally North-west University, Professor Mustapha Ahmad Isa says the university presently proposing for the establishment of faculty of Clinical Sciences in 2019.

The vice-chancellor made this known on Saturday shortly after he appeared before the Kano State House of Assembly’s Committee on Higher Education to defend the University’s 2019 proposed budget.

Professor Isa says in line with this development, Kano State government has approved the conversion of Muhammad Abdullahi Wase teaching Hospital in Nassarawa GRA for the purposes of teaching and training of faculty’s medical students.

He further explained that Maitama Sule University is a budding university which is Six years old, it needs adequate funding to continue developing.

In his remark, the House committee Chairman on higher education, Ali Ibrahim Shanono says the bilateral interaction with the Maitama Sule University officials was indeed very fruitful in the course of perusing the budget figures earmarked to run their programs in the next coming year.

He added that his committee, as well as other Kano State, higher learning Institute will seriously adhere with the themed of the budget as “The Budget of reality” as to ensure effective implementation of their approved budget proposal.
