Chief David Lyon, former Governor-Elect of Bayelsa State in the November, 2019 election under the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the leading aspirant for the Bayelsa State 2023 Gubernatorial Race and his entourage visited his ancestral hometown, Olugbobiri on Monday April 3, 2023.
During the visit officially presented himself to his kinsmen, youth and women for his ambition to run for the state’s gubernatorial race in 2023 and canvassed for their support.
The meeting was a huge success as members of the community promised to stand by their son and give him all the needed support so that he could emerge victorious at both the primary and general elections.
According to them, David Lyon has all the qualities that would make him perform and restore the lost glory of Bayelsa State.
Lyon was later officially endorsed and blessed by his people.
They further prayed for him and asked him to go and succeed with a call on all Bayelsans to queue behind him “as the most qualified among all the aspirants for the office.”
