Joseph, who urged the people of the Kogi West to be united to achieve their aim, said in a recent statement that the people of the area have been marginalised since the creation of the state.

“Leke Abejide Joseph is my name, an Okun man from Alu in Yagba East Local Government and by the special grace of God, ADC gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming Kogi Governorship election come November 11 2023.

“I am using this medium to congratulate my brothers, friends and colleagues from Kogi West, who won their primary elections from other parties. I am happy and honoured to have you all as my competitors in the November 11, 2023 governorship election as an Okun man and Kogi West Candidate.

“We have been marginalised since the creation of Kogi State, it’s time for us to be united in one voice as a people from Kogi West Senatorial District to produce the next Governor by God’s grace,” he said.

The Governorship Candidate stated that there is strength in unity and that speaking with one voice shows the togetherness of a people.

“All of us are candidates from our different political parties and we know what it costs us to be, where we are today. All the sleepless nights of consultations, commitment and sacrifice just for the liberation of Kogi West will not go unrewarded by God. God will see us through,” he said.

While promising to ensure massive development of Kogi State if elected as Governor, Hon. Joseph said that the state has a lot of potentials, adding that if these are properly harnessed the state would be the envy of others.

He specifically mentioned rural development, youth and women empowerment, infrastructure development, education, healthcare, job creation and several others as important areas, where his government would focus on.
