ISWAP Terrorists Executes Border Village Head

The Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) has executed the village head of Malam Boulamari, a locality in Niger’s Diffa region, as part of its ongoing campaign of terror in the region.
This campaign targets local authorities and civilians accused of collaborating with the government or security forces.
According to the report from Zagazola Makama, a security analyst and counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad area, ISWAP published images of the summary execution, showcasing the traditional leader’s brutal demise .
The Diffa region, situated near the borders with Nigeria and Chad, has been a hotspot for insurgent activities, with ISWAP and Boko Haram frequently launching attacks against villages, security forces, and humanitarian workers.
Zagazola wrote: “The Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) has executed the village head of Malam Boulamari, a locality situated between Mainé Soroa and Chetimari in Niger’s Diffa region. Images of the brutal act were published by the group, showing the summary execution of the traditional leader.”
This latest incident has raised concerns about the growing presence of ISWAP in the region and the need for concerted efforts to combat terrorism.
