Headies gets messy…as Olamide and Don -jazzy throw major shades

The social media went wild in the early hours of the day, after Bobo crooner and YBNL boss Olamide took to twitter to vent his anger at Mavin Boss Don-Jazzy for calling him out on stage.

Reekado Banks had earlier won the most anticipated award of the night “The Next Rated” which comes with a brand new Hyundai SUV car.
Olamide then came on stage with Adekunle Gold and the rest of his YBNL crew to recieve his award for best alternative Song. Adekunle Gold gave a short speech acknowledging the award, and then dedicated the award to Lil-Kesh who he said deserved the award, while that was going on Lil-Kesh prostrated in front of Olamide, who then collected the mic from Adekunle Gold and said; “This award belongs to Lil Kesh. Lil Kesh is our own Next Rated artist. F**k that shit! The streets ti take over. Every f**king single was a hit back to back. From lyrically to Shoki to Efejoku. Ko ni dafun Iyalaya anybody”, he then threw the mic down and they all walked off the stage.

Minutes later Don Jazzy was called upon to recieve his special recognition award, Jazzy wore a long-straight face and didn’t seem interested but when he collected the mic said he had always told award organizers not to give him awards that he wasn’t interested in them, that still Ayo Animashaun and the Hip Tv crew found a way to still give him the award. Then he went on to address the next rated award brouhaha, Jazzy said ” I had promised all my children cars” i told them not ot worry about the award. and he concluded by saying “Egbon Olamide, if you want the car, come and take it.”

Immediately after Don-Jazzy left the stage, the whole Mavin Crew exited the arena, Olamide took to twitter and started ranting,and was absent for his “Artiste of the year” award. Below are Olamide’s tweets
