Hajia Bola Shagaya’s Mother Dies
Billionaire businesswoman, Hajia Bola Shagaya has lost her mom, Alhaja Saadat AbdulRaheem Bakini.
Alhaja Bakini died on Sunday, 9 October, 2022.
A statement issued by Barr Abdulfatai Bakini on behalf of the family confirmed Alhaja Saadat AbdulRaheem Bakini died on Sunday, while burial arrangement will be announced later.
The statement read: “Alhaja Saadat Abdulraheem, is the mother of Nigeria business mogul, Hajia Muinat Shagaya and Haji Abdulrasaq Abdulraheem.
Burial arrangement will be announced later.”
Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has commiserated with the business woman and the Bakini family of Ilorin on the death of their mother.
The statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye reads;“Our heartfelt condolences go to Hajia Bola Shagaya, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Abdulraheem and the entire Bakini family of Ilorin Emirate.
“We pray Allah, exalted is He, to grant Alhaja Al-jannah Firdaus and comfort the entire family,” he said.
The deceased’s death came just a day to the 63rd birthday of the business mogul.
For her 60th birthday,the city of Lagos literary stood still as the who-is-who from all parts of Africa converged at the prestigious Eko Convention Centre, Lagos to honour the woman of means.
Rising from a humble background to become a business tycoon and a force to reckon with, Shagaya’s investments cut across photography, real estate, oil and gas, and the banking industry.
