Kano State governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje enjoined the electorates to give active lawmakers another chance of continuity that will enable them to bring and finish developmental projects to their people.

Governor Ganduje made the disclosure during the official commissioning of 40MVA transmission substation at Wudil local government area, Kano.

He pointed out that the completed project will impact positively on the development of the 7 localities which includes; Wudil, Albasu, Garko, Albasu, Gaya, Sumaila and Takai local governments respectively.

“ This substation is an effort and clear manifestation of the member representing Wudil/Garko in the federal house of representatives Mohd Ali Wudil, driven by his overriding ambition to serve his people through meaningful representation” Ganduje added.

He pointed out that in view of the numerous ongoing, unfinished projects, is deemed appropriate by the electorates in the forthcoming elections to give another chance of seamless continuity to their active representatives who will bring dividends of democracy to the threshold of their doorstep.

Earlier in his welcome address, the managing director of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) Usman Mohammed said the impact of the project cannot be over-emphasised, as the newly commissioned sub-station will relieve on the load Dakata sub-station which was overloaded because it supplied other neighbouring communities between Dakata and Wudil.

He added that the project is a good edifice worthy of pride which will bring positive impacts to the targeted beneficiaries and beyond.

The newly commissioned Wudil Substation was initially awarded to CON Engineering Limited by TCN in the year 2009. As at July 2018 the projects was reportedly not completed, hence the contract was terminated and hand over to TCN in-house engineers.
