ED Keystone Bank,Tijjani Aliyu Bags LINPB Award For Humanitarian Services

The Executive Director, Risk Management Directorate, Keystone Bank Limited, Alhaji Tijjani Aliyu, has received an award of merit for his humanitarian services and philanthropic disposition to the downtrodden especially in the lives of students in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State, on Sunday.

Aliyu, who is also the Sardauna of Kakanda Kingdom was honoured by the Lokoja Indigenous Newspaper Publishers and Bloggers, (LINPB), of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kogi State Council.

Organizers of the award said they are impressed and touched by the banker’s desires to always reach out to needy and help in changing the lives of Nigerian youth for the better.

Presenting the award in Lokoja on behalf of the NUJ Chairman, Alhaji Momoh-Jimoh Adeiza, the Vice Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Hussein Sulaiman, pointed out that the efforts and activities of the honored Aliyu attracted the LINPB to bestow the award for humanitarian services on him.

Sulaiman encouraged him not to deter but continue in his philanthropic gestures adding that LINPB and other well meaning entities are taking notes and will always be there to support, encourage and criticize when neccesary.

The NUJ Vice chairman further explained that Aliyu has shown exemplary lifestyle and humanitarian gesture towards students, who could no longer continue their education due to paucity of funds, urging him to sustain the momentum.

Responding, the Sardauna of Kakanda Kingdom, who was represented by his brother, Sofada Idris, commended the group for recognizing him and pledged to re-double his efforts towards alleviating the plight of the downtrodden.

Aliyu, who said he was elated for receiving the award, said his significant contribution to students is due to his love and passion for education which he described as the best legacy to children.

The Executive Director reiterated that the act of giving does not depend on affluent individuals alone and called on good spirited members of the society to have the heart of providing succor to the needy.

He said: “It is always an inspiration to receive any award no matter how significant they are. Award of this nature shows that the people are watching you and impressed with one’s contributions. Am most grateful”.
