DAVID LYON BIDS FAREWELL TO HRH MAJOR GRAHAM NAINGBA( RTD) IN BAYELSA

Top politico and Apc strong man in South South, Chief David Lyon, and his entourage attended the burial ceremony of His Royal Highness, the late Sir, Major Graham Naingba (Rtd) JP. Amananaowei of Amassoma, Southern Ijaw LGA, Bayelsa State, yesterday,( Saturday, 7th, January)

Chief Lyon briefly stopped over at the Palace of HRM, King Oweipa Jones Ere, Ibenanaowei of Ogboin Clan, before moving on to the burial ceremony.

He however, stated  to the admiration of his teeming supporters that he couldn’t visit Amassoma for an event without stopping over at the Palace of the Ibenanaowei.

Moreso, His Excellency Chief David Lyon, the ex-governor elected, thanked and appreciated the people of Amassoma for the massive support given to the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the November 2019 gubernatorial election, when speaking with the Ibenanaowei, Amananayou and council of Chiefs at the palace.

Thereafter, he attended the ceremony and joined Sen. Denyanbofa Dimaro in congratulating him on being named and taking office as the Bayelsa State Representative to the Niger Delta Development Commission Board.

The senator was addressed by Lyon, who said, “My dear brother (Senior), you know we have similar challenges as humans.

“You were senator-elect, while I was elected as the Governor of Bayelsa State, but we were not sworn-in as Senator or Governor, but we thank God today that you have been appointed as Bayelsa State Rep at NDDC.”

He said, “I wish you the best of luck.” “Please stay focused and do what is right. Ensure you bring infrastructural development to the state through your office from the commission.

” As indigenes of Bayelsa State, we are very grateful to God for these appointments. Having Dr. Samuel Ogbuku as the MD/CEO of the Commission, congratulations all. Almighty God will give the duo the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding they need to handle the affairs of their offices.

“Sen. Dimaro, I appreciate your support. This is the first time I’ve attended a public event to speak since the Supreme Court decision that resulted in my dismissal as the ex-governor elect of Bayelsa State less than 24 hours before swearing-in.

“Based on what I’m witnessing here, I’m confident that the APC family generally and Ekeremor are working together. I can see the strength of the Bayelsa State APC. Thanks to you, Mr. Senator, for bringing us together.”

He then thanked and appreciated Bayelsans for their voluminous support for the APC in the November 2019 gubernatorial elections.

He urged Bayelsans to do the same for the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general elections.
