Covid-19 Pandemic: Kano State in dire need of federal government intervention – Kano, Federal Lawmaker.

In view of the untold hardship suffered by the teeming vulnerable in Kano resulted from the 7-day total lockdown and physical and emotional trauma inflicted by the surging mortality figures stemming from mysterious deaths recorded in Kano.

The member representing Rano/Kibiya/Bunkure constituencies of Kano in the federal house of representatives, Hon. Kabiru Alhassan Rurum made the plea on Thursday in Abuja while speaking to newsmen.

Hon. Rurum said is urgently needful for the federal government to do what is rightfully needful in coming to the aid towards cushioning the painful effect on the teeming Kano populace who depends solely on daily wages to cater for themselves and their family.

“Apart from Lagos, Abuja and Ogun state respectively, Kano state at the moment is heading to a scary dimension of figures in view the speedy pace of COVID-19 and mysterious death being recorded in the state, this has made people in the state deeply scaring and tormented on who might be the next to join the obituaries list due to the yet-unknown deaths in Kano,” Rurum said.

Kabiru Alhassan said the mortality being reported in Kano is a serious case which should not lightly be handed with a pinch of salt.

He added that the initial 7-seven day lockdown administered in the state, with a view to stemming the tide of the pandemic hasn’t done anything to write home about in view of the surging cases of infections and death recorded which is currently climbing in geometric progression.

“Kano people at the moment, more especially vulnerable and downtrodden are in dire need of apex government through the means of spreading palliative consumables to ease the tension inflicted by the total lockdown in the state” He added.

Hon. Alhassan stressed that Kano State government under the able leadership of Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje strive enough in doing it possible best to surmount the problem.

” But due to the bulk dimension of the plague he resorted to extend his bowl of seeking for aid from the federal government” Rurum reiterated.

He stressed that it was due to the lockdown that blocked him from presenting the matter on the house floor, but instead resorted to use this medium to herald the matter.

The erstwhile, Kano assembly speaker, said the current trend, particularly in Kano and another state, deserved not the only federal government but God intervention to flatten the curve of the global pandemic nationally and the world in general.?
