Former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice have been remanded in prison custody by a United Kingdom court over allegation of human trafficking for organ harvesting.

Report indicated that Ike and Beatrice Ekweremadu were arrested by the Metropolitan Police on Thursday and were arraigned at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court.

Both were charged with conspiracy to arrange or facilitate travel of another person with a view to exploit, while the minor has been taken into police custody for safeguarding.

Alleged victim in the case is homeless 15 year old boy, who was taken to the U.K. by Mr and Mrs Ekweremadu off the streets of Lagos Nigeria.

They were both denied bail, and remanded in prison custody, while the case was adjourned to July 7, 2022.
