2019: Tolu Odebiyi Disagrees With Amosun Over Ogun West Senatorial Seat

Published

on

The Governor of Ogun State, ibikunle Amosun, who is still determined to take a pound of flesh from the All Progressives Congress (APC), has reportedly mounted pressure on the APC Senatorial candidate and his Chief of Staff, Tolu Odebiyi to pull out of the senatorial race.

It will be recalled that Saturday was the deadline nationwide for political parties to effect substitution of names of candidates for both the Senate and the House of Representatives, where desired.

Substitution for National Assembly candidates is no longer possible as at Sunday.

It then followed that for Amosun to now insist that Chief Tolu Odebiyi must withdraw from the race is to leave APC without any senatorial candidate for Ogun West.

Sources stated that if this happens it will be an easy victory for the anointed candidate of Amosun, known as Ojugo, who was already planted in another party by Amosun.

We gathered that Tolu Odebiyi has refused to yield to the pressure from Amosun, and that he will rather resign from Amosun’s cabinet as he would definitely be removed from office “for disobedience to constituted authority.”

We could not confirm if Odebiyi has yielded to the demand of the Governor as at press time
